Tweed Design

Ok, I have to admit that this sketch doesn't show my true design intentions for the bag. Ok, first, rather than the bag being 10" tall it will be 8". Also the sides of the bag will be quite poofy but it's tough for me to draw what I'm thinking for that. I can see it in my mind though and I know it will work. In regards to the base color, I might do black instead or at least black on the bottom. We'll see. I'm thinking an olive green for the sides and strap to bring the green out of the tweed. (Instead of going with the safe color, the teal.) However, I need to see what material I find before I make all of those decisions.

In The Works

I am so proud of this little cutie. It's not quite finished but I wanted to show it in it's current state. I plan on adding some more embellishments to the bag. It's for a very special occasion so it deserves all the fine details and extra bells and whistles. I started with a simple silver poly-blend material that shimmers like satin. I quilted the 1 1/2" squares to create the diamond pattern. The zipper is 9" long. The bag itself is approximately 10x2x6 inches.
