As I prepare not only for the upcoming holidays, I am also getting ready for Gallery Night and Art vs. Craft. I have many new designs and I am very excited about my plans. I will post pictures as soon as I have the designs worked out well enough to share. New products will be available at JBird during Gallery Night (10.20.06 - 10.21.06) as well as Art vs Craft (11.4.06 - 11.5.06). After Art vs. Craft all styles will be available for online orders as well.

A bag for mom!

Instead of preparing for the craft show in November (which I desperately need to make more progress on) I took "a break" and sewed this little number for my mom. She had asked a while ago about getting a bag to show off but never said there was a rush. She was very patient, allowing me to get other orders completed and shipped out. Well, now her patience has paid off. It's a beaut! I modified the Uptown Girl bag that I made last month for Heather. This one is slightly smaller. Simple in colors but not in details. Inside are 2 zippered pockets as well as patch style pockets divided into 3 compartments. Two pockets on the outside that will fit a small water bottle or small umbrella, cell phone. The base is a faux suede very soft and perfect for the upcoming cold seasons.

Art vs. Craft

I received notification on Friday that I was accepted as a vendor at this winter's Art vs. Craft Show. Very cool. It looks like I will be a "sewing machine" (lol) until the holidays. Wish me luck and if you happen to be in Milwaukee, or are looking for the perfect excuse to be in Milwaukee, the weekend of my birthday, Nov. 4th and 5th. Stop by and say hi.
